Jessa bought this for me knowing that I’m a big fan of Brazo De Mercedes. I haven’t heard of these but after doing some research, I found out the the Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez has gotten a lot of praises from other food bloggers so that made me excited to try it out.

Yum Yum! is what I can say for my first bite. It looks like a sandwich where the custard filling is in between two meringue layers. It is also shaped like a loaf so I guess their inspiration was bread for the shape? I can’t help comparing it to the Mini Brazo De Mercedes by Joy (@Parvati) that I have also tried. The taste, sweetness and texture was very similar. However, the custard filling that would set it apart because it had different flavors on it.

So far in the two boxes I have ate, I noticed macapuno and different kinds of nuts (based on crunchiness). It was certainly something new for me as I was used to having it melt in my mouth while I squirm in the air like Scooby Doo after eating a Scooby snack. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed every piece of it! I wonder how do they differentiate between flavors? Here’s the complete list (from OAP).

  • Classic
  • Copaco-Mango
  • Strawberry Sunrise
  • Toasted Coconut Kiss
  • Aloha Banana
  • Tropical Cashew Crunch
  • Macapuno Summer Breeze
  • Walnut Wander
  • Almond Shindig
  • Pistachio Festival
  • Pecan Beach Party
  • Heavenly Hazelnut
  • Hula Macadamia!

Till next time,

Wow, so many flavors! But it’s the custard that I can’t stop staring at. Lovely!
