Pepper Lunch Dinner with Breakfast Club

I missed going to the previous Breakfast Club event because I got sick. I still remember getting that call from Kim (Breakfast Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief) asking, “Where are you?”, while I was stuck in bed with an imaginary weight upon me. I told her I wouldn’t be able to go and I felt guilty for being sick that day. So when I got another chance for redemption, I mean, an invite to have dinner with the Breakfast Club, I immediately signed up and ensured myself that I will be perfectly healthy and will not miss that event.
Updated: I have also met Richie before at the 1st breakfast club activity I joined. Sorry Richie
The venue was Pepper Lunch and upon arriving there, I saw familiar faces from the ladies behind the Breakfast Club and new faces (fellow food bloggers that I have met for the first time – except for Peachy and Richie ) . After we all settled down, we were given a brief history of how Pepper Lunch came into the Philippines (thank you!) and how it all started in Japan. We got hungry just by listening so after the discussion…
…came the menu for us to choose what to order.

Pepper Lunch Beef Pepper Rice
For newcomers, you should definitely try this one. You absolutely cannot say you have been to Pepper Lunch without trying this dish.

Pepper Lunch Beef Yakiniku

Pepper Lunch Teriyaki Beef with Egg

Pepper Lunch Chicken and Angus Beef

Pepper Lunch Double Salmon Steak
Pepper Lunch may be a bit pricey but the satisfaction gained was worth it. In terms of serving size, it would be ok (1 cup of rice with a viand) but for meat lovers like me, I would go for a “double meat” upgrade (not sure if all dishes has that option).
This would be the 2nd time I have joined the Breakfast Club and until now, I’m still amazed at the young ladies behind it. Why do I feel so old saying that? They were fresh graduates when they put up their own magazine and their own publishing company. Now, they are releasing their 4th issue and still going strong with Judy Ann, Iza Calzado, and Pokwang as their previous covers.
Breakfast Magazine is a bi-monthly food and lifestyle magazine.
Disclosure: Breakfast Club/Pepper Lunch paid for our meals.
