McDonald’s Big N Tasty Burger
Jessa and I went to McDo Pateros branch to visit her niece who joined the McDo Kiddie Crew Program 2012. This is a great program from McDo where for just PHP550, kids will get a week of experience at being a McDo crew. They would be taught how to man the counter, serve fries and ice creams, create burgers and other stuff under supervision. Aside from that, they also get a lot of McDo freebies like shirts, cap, bag and free meals.
We also had our lunch there and I tried their new burger that’s called the McDonald’s Big N Tasty Burger (PHP 120 A la Carte).
The BnT burger (as they call it) had the following layers.
- Sauce (BBQ)
- 1/4 Pound Patty
Sept 2012 Update:
I recently got to try a freshly cooked/made Big n Tasty Burger by McDo and it was really delicious! I would say that it was really tasty. This now goes high into my favorite burger list.
From what I see and taste, it would be the veggies and the smoky barbeque sauce that would separate it from the quarter pounder and the big mac. The veggies were a welcome addition and made me think that this is similar to a BLT sandwich. On the sauce, I felt that it lacked flavor like it wasn’t barbeque-y enough and was still very similar to the original sauce (they do have the same pinkish color like a thousand island salad dressing).
Overall, I wasn’t that impressed with the Big N Tasty Burger. I would suggest to stick with the Big Mac instead (they only have a PHP 10 difference on a la carte orders) and you will get the same ingredients but with two patties to go with it. It is much more bigger and much more stuffing in the stomach. But as for me, I’ll go for the PHP 39 cheeseburger to get my McDo Burger fix.
Till next time,
