McCormick Bread Spread Media Launch

When I saw the email invite for the McCormick event, I remembered that there was a previous invite that I wasn’t able to accept due to schedule issues. I’m glad that they didn’t put me on a blacklist and still invited me to the launching of their new products; McCormick Bread Spreads. I have limited knowledge on McCormick as I only know them as products related to condiments and spices; basically add-ons when cooking to enhance the food flavors.

The bread spread comes close to that definition as they are essentially bread fillings. It has three flavors; Garlic, Herb Parmesan and Pesto and it is being packaged as a tube that would resemble your sunblock, toothpaste or lotion. The purpose of this packaging was to reduce or eliminate spills and messes. (can’t help joke about the packaging but I would agree that it’s a great idea -although we are not used to it yet).

Now this is the actual product on top of the bread. It does resemble lotions or conditioners that they can actually pass as such. It’s a good thing that they have a distinct smell depending on the variant that would tell you, “Hey I’m edible!”. I tried each spread and among the three, I liked the garlic one best followed by the Herb Parmesan. I could pass on the Pesto. I thought that that was all to the event but they had a cooking segment where they invited Stephanie Zubiri to create three dishes using these bread spreads.

Not only did we get to see her cook the food, we actually got to taste them too. Each of us were given samples and you can ask for more! Hooray for carbonara!

After that, they invited the guests to play games such as a mini-cooking show and what-bread-spread-was-used-in-this-sandwich guessing game. Both games were fun to look at and I’m glad to see different ways on how people can use the bread spreads outside of being just a filling for bread.

The McCormick Bread Spreads retails for PHP 75 and can be a good alternative to other spreads.
