Bar B King Dinner

Bar B King Dinner

Bar B King

I first heard about Bar B King when I saw the posts from fellow bloggers about Bar B King’s Blogger event. When I saw the pictures, I was envious because the concept was new and I also wanted to try it out. Fast forward to the present where Jessa and I were shopping at SM Megamall and I saw their ads. Due to that, I remembered the blog posts and I suggested to her that we try it out so after a few hours of walking around, we were hungry and we looked for Bar B King.

Bar B King joins the ranks of Mang Inasal and Chicboy that offers grilled and roasted Filipino food that’s affordable and comes with unlimited rice / drinks (additional pay). Mang Inasal offers inasal as their specialty, Chicboy offers Cebu lechon chicken and liempo while Bar B King offers grilled angus beef belly. When I first read about it I was wondering how can they mass produce or.. serve it in a fast food restaurant the angus beef? Isn’t that something that you would usually see in fine dining restaurants with wallet-tearing prices? This question added more to my curiosity and I was excited to get my first bite out of it.

Bar B King Monggo

Let’s Go Monggo! – PHP 29

We started our meal with an appetizer because we were starving! It’s my first time to eat monggo (mung bean) with chicharon and there was no difference in taste.

Grilled Angus Beef Belly Value Meal – PHP 150

(served with 12oz Soda, Rice-all-you-can, Soup, corn and Carrots, and Gravy)

Finally! It took a while before this got served due to the amount of people ordering the same dish but the wait was worth it. The beef was soft, tender and juicy and was served right off the grill. The gravy really compliments it but I’m already happy just enjoying it by itself. It was really flavorful but I noticed that it comes with a lot of fat so you might want to avoid those.

Their serving sizes might look different but as I observed in their open kitchen, each serving has been weighted so perhaps you can request for a more meatier serving while ordering. Also, you should eat it right away because it won’t taste good when it’s cool and the fats start to stick (sebo).

Bar B King Spicy Liempo

Spicy Liempo – PHP 80

We were really hungry so we ordered an additional spicy liempo and that was a good decision as their liempo was very tasty. It wasn’t that spicy for me (low tolerance) but more of spicy and sweet.

Curiosity and hunger satisfied thanks to Bar B King’s Grilled Angus Beef Belly!

Till next time,
